During surgery, you will be placed under general anesthesia. The surgeon will either insert the implants or transfer the fat from your midsection based on which procedure you choose. Once the desired shape and symmetry are achieved, incisions are closed with sutures.

Your first step will be a consultation with a board-certified surgeon of your choice, during which you will discuss your medical history and aesthetic goals. A personalized treatment plan will then be created to meet those unique goals, along with timelines and finance options.
Following your breast augmentation, your surgeon will provide you with specific aftercare instructions. Most people should take one week off from work and can return to self-care activities after this time. Picking up an infant or heavy weights may need to wait a little longer, depending upon individual healing. Your individual guidelines will be part of the ongoing aftercare discussion you'll maintain with our team and your surgeon.

Following breast augmentation surgery, you will need to wear a special support bra to minimize swelling and support your new breast contour. While your breasts will be visibly larger immediately following surgery, they will be swollen at first and your body will have an adjustment period as they "Settle and fluff" into their final look and feel. Our team will guide you through what to expect at each step in the process, but generally we tend to see most patients are excited immediately, happy and feeling pretty comfortable around the end of week 1, ready to wear show them off around week 6, and at their final "after photo" result at 6 months.
